Eligibility
Who can apply for GULFHE Fellowship.
Yes. Applications are accepted throughout the year. There are no fixed annual application rounds.
No. Your contribution must have a meaningful and evidenced connection to higher education, its learners, research, institutions, workforce interfaces or sector development.
Yes. Industry executives, employers, entrepreneurs, professional trainers and partnership leaders may apply where their contribution to higher education is material and evidenced. General corporate success without a higher-education connection does not qualify.
Yes. GULFHE Student Associate is specifically designed to recognise purposeful student contribution through leadership, research, enterprise, innovation, peer support or community impact. Students should evidence contribution beyond routine course participation.
Yes. Contract type does not determine recognition. Part-time, adjunct and visiting faculty may apply when their evidence meets the selected level standard.
Levels & Professional Pathways
Choosing the recognition route that fits your evidence.
No. Apply directly to the level your current evidence supports. Earlier GULFHE recognition is not normally a prerequisite for a higher level.
Choose the pathway that best represents the professional context of your strongest evidence. One secondary pathway may be recorded where evidence genuinely spans fields. The pathway does not change the required level standard.
Evidence & Assessment
Preparing evidence for professional assessment.
Use evidence that directly supports important claims and shows your own contribution, the context, assurance, learning and effect. Quality and relevance matter more than volume. Do not upload material you are not authorised to disclose.
Where the gaps are focused and can reasonably be resolved using the existing body of practice, GULFHE may issue a Revision Invited outcome. This is not automatic.
Fees, Timelines & Revision
Assessment fees and normal review arrangements.
No. The fee pays for assessment and quality assurance. Recognition is awarded only when the published standard is met.
The normal target is 6–8 weeks for Student Associate through Impact Fellow and 8–10 weeks for Strategic through Distinguished Fellow, measured from a complete paid submission.
Normally 120 calendar days. Any approved exception should follow the reasonable-adjustment or exceptional-circumstances process.
The case closes. A later attempt is a new application, normally after six months, and the full prevailing application fee applies.
Appeals, Integrity & Privacy
Important rules affecting Fellowship applications.
Yes, but only on the permitted grounds in the Appeals and Complaints policy, such as a material procedural irregularity, unmanaged conflict, administrative error or demonstrable assessment error from the existing record. An appeal is not a third assessment attempt.
Only within the published Integrity, AI and Authorship rules. You remain the author and are responsible for accuracy, evidence, professional voice, confidentiality and any required disclosure. AI must not fabricate evidence, supporter statements, citations, outcomes or reflective experience.
Minimise and anonymise confidential information. Use only material you are authorised to share. If sensitive evidence is essential, follow the secure evidence and confidentiality guidance rather than sending it by general email.
Only if you opt into public directory discovery. Credential verification by unique ID may remain available under the credential policy, but private assessment material is never displayed.
No. It is invitation only and governed by a separate nomination and due-diligence process.
