GULFHE Student Associate

Best suited to undergraduate or postgraduate students who can demonstrate purposeful contribution beyond routine participation.

Evidence may come from student leadership, research activity, enterprise, innovation, peer support, sustainability, community engagement or projects that improve the student or wider higher-education experience.

Typical Reach A defined project, team, student community or bounded initiative.

GEPGHE AED 450

GULFHE Emerging Professional

Designed for doctoral researchers, graduate assistants, early-career academics and professionals, or people beginning a sustained higher-education-facing practice.

Applicants should demonstrate developing professional judgement, responsible practice, reflection and contribution across more than one meaningful activity.

Typical Reach Developing sustained practice across activities, teams or defined services.

Established practice and measurable impact

PFGHE AED 750

Practice Fellow of GULFHE

Recognises effective, inclusive and evidence-informed professional practice with clear outcomes.

It is appropriate for faculty, researchers, educational developers, professional-services staff, quality professionals, industry contributors and others whose established practice influences a programme, service, discipline, partnership or equivalent area.

IFGHE AED 1,250

Impact Fellow of GULFHE

Recognises sustained and measurable impact that extends beyond the applicant's immediate personal activity.

Applicants should evidence outcomes for multiple programmes, services, teams, partnerships or stakeholder groups and show how their influence has improved practice, capability or results over time.

Senior Recognition

Strategic, institutional and sector-level leadership

These recognition levels are designed for applicants whose evidence demonstrates increasingly significant leadership, influence and reach.

Strategic Fellow of GULFHE

Recognises strategic leadership that aligns people, evidence, resources and governance to achieve sustained improvement.

Typical Reach Institutional functions, major portfolios or multi-partner initiatives.

Normal target: 8–10 weeks

LFGHE AED 2,950

Leadership Fellow of GULFHE

Recognises sustained institutional or cross-institutional leadership and transformation.

Typical Reach Whole institutions, major systems, national initiatives or regional partnerships.

Normal target: 8–10 weeks

DFGHE AED 3,750

Distinguished Fellow of GULFHE

Recognises outstanding and independently corroborated contribution with durable significance beyond a single role or organisation.

Typical Reach Sector-wide, national, regional or international significance.

Invitation Only

Honorary Distinguished Fellow

Honorary Distinguished Fellow is an invitation-only recognition governed by a separate nomination and due-diligence process. It is not an application level, cannot be purchased and is not part of the ordinary Fellowship progression route.
